Ed of New England is proud to offer American Heart Association certification
classes in CPR/ AED and First Aid. These classes are available to
private groups, as well as at our public class sites. For public

Basic Life Support (CPR/AED) for Healthcare Providers: 3 ½ -4 hours; infant, child, and adult techniques for choking /CPR (for 1 and 2 rescuers), and AED (defibrillator) training. Includes use of advanced barrier devices. Written exam required. American Heart Association certificates issued.
Heartsaver CPR AED Adult/Pediatric (for laypersons): approx. 3 hours; basic CPR techniques for adult/ pediatric victims (infant techniques are optional) with simple barrier devices. Includes use of an AED (automated external defibrillator), No written exam. American Heart Association certificates issued.
Heartsaver First Aid: 3 hrs; how to recognize and treat common emergencies, such as burns, bleeding, shock, poisoning, stroke, electrical shock, and broken bones. The focus is on the adult victim in the workplace. American Heart Association certification cards issued.
Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid: 3 hrs; how to recognize and treat common emergencies in infants and children, such as bleeding, head injuries, burns, poisoning, fractures, and bee stings. American Heart Association certification cards issued.
Heartsaver First Aid/ CPR AED: 5 ½ - 6 hrs: includes modules on both Heartsaver First Aid and adult/pediatric CPR AED. American Heart Association certification cards issued.
Pediatric First Aid/ CPR AED: 6 - 6 ½ hrs:includes modules on both Pediatric First Aid and adult/ pediatric CPR AED. American Heart Association certification cards issued.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers skills test: 30
minutes; this is the in-person supplement to the online certification
program. The online course and exam MUST be completed before the
